I love finding new ways to get my students excited about learning! We use Vocabulary Videos and Google Slides to help us learn and remember challenging vocabulary words. One parent has told me she has heard her daughter using these words in her daily vocabulary! Music to a teacher's ears! Another parent shared that her 4 year old son is watching the videos with his older sister, and he is now using 6th grade vocabulary words! My students also create their own "Cash Class" questions based on the television show format of "Cash Cab" to help review for tests...and yes, I DO have a taxi in my room that they sit in to play this very competitive game! You never know what is going to be happening in my classroom; we "shake it up" constantly! Edmodo, Google Classroom, Kahoot, and Socrative are some of my favorite teaching tools. If you need more proof that Vocabulary Videos make an impact, here's proof: I received a thank you note recently from twins that I taught eight years ago...in their note, they mentioned how much they had learned doing vocabulary videos! WOW!
