This session will focus on the development of a middle school makerspace. Ideas for incorporating various types of technology tools as well as management procedures will be shared. Examples of student tested makerspace projects and challenges will be reviewed. Participants will have an opportunity to view and test out different tools and applications that are used within the makerspace at Monticello Middle School. Funding sources for makerspace materials will also be discussed.
I teach 8th grade science and am always looking for new ways to better incorporate technology into the classroom. I am also responsible for supervising our school's makerspace.
