College of Education and Human Services - The College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) creates a stimulating, active, and engaged learning environment. The intent of the College is to support the values and mission of Western Illinois University by educating and preparing a diverse student population to thrive in and contribute to our global society. Western Illinois University offers 27 programs for students interested in an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in an education field. Each of which may lead to a license/endorsement in teaching, educational administration, school counseling, school psychology, school speech pathology, or instructional technology. Five COEHS departments offer degrees at the WIU Quad Cities campus and three offer degrees online. All seven COEHS departments also focus on their service responsibilities to the university, community, region and state, as well as provide students with early and capstone experiences in their respective fields of study.
STAR-Online - Online Professional Development Courses focusing on the integration of technology in the classroom. Participants benefit from Anytime/Anyplace resources including communication tools, online resources, and support. STAR-Online is an ISBE Approved Provider for PD Hours.
