Digital Trophy Case
Experience, hands-on, how Meridian High School was able to use a digital trophy case to solve space issues in a tech-savvy way. Through the help of Nanonation, this school was able to make old yearbooks, dating back to the 1920's accessible to every school visitor. The possibilities for providing school history to your community are endless. The best part, students raised money for the entire project--two of them will be on hand to answer questions.

Genetics: "Cut" out the Cutting and Pasting!
Karyotypes are an important tool for geneticists. A typical biology lesson on karyotyping involves intensive cutting and pasting chromosomes, but now you can "cut" out the middle man by using Google Drawings. Students will learn how geneticists perform a karyotype and answer questions based on the genetic mutation they are presented with. This online lab activity can be used for any basic biology class during the meiosis or genetics unit.
